CD/DVD Guidelines

Safety Margins: Text and important images must fall within the red boxes. Extending important elements beyond these lines can cause problems during cutting, folding and assembly. Parts of images on the text can end up being trimmed off or fall directly on a fold.
Cut Lines:This is approximately where your artwork will be trimmed. Keeping all text and important images inside the 1/8th in safety margins will prevent their unintended loss during cutting.
Bleeds This area is going to be completely trimmed away during the cutting process. Only solid colors, background images or foreground images that intentionally run off the page should extend through this area. Having bleeds ensures that your artwork will not have a thin white border around it.
Folds: Be very careful when running ant text or important image over folds. Test especially text under 9 pt. can be hard to read if it is falling on a fold.

Free Write: One Million Dollars

If I got one million dollars today I would spend it wisely. The first thing I would do is put enough a away to get me threw the best schools and so I can pay for colledge. With the rest of the money I would buy alot of clothes and help my mother out with things she want and need. I would'nt spend all the money at once. I would save the money until I got older so I would really be able to buy the things I want. When I get old enouggh to buy a house and car those are the first two I would buy. I would'nt over do it and a buy a house with like sixty rooms. I would buy a house with just enough space for me and some guest. It would be a while before I buy a house and stuff because I am going away for colledge so I Would'nt need the house while I'm there.

Free Write: My Perfect Vacation

My perfect vacation would be to go spend a month in Miami. I would like to go there because it is always warm and I know a good place where I can stay. There is a 5 star hotel right across the street from Millionares Island and on the other side is Miami beach. Millionares Island is just a walk away from the place where I would be staying at and Miami beach is like a backyard to the hotel I would be staying at. When I look out the window at night time Millionares Island lights up and you can see what some people are doing. If a person if having a party you can here thier music just a little bit but its not loud enough to keep you from sleeping. If you don't want to hear the music at all you can just close the windos. Everyday or night I can walk out the back door of my Hotel and be on Miami beach. The farther I walk the bigger the hotels get and then I see more and more people. At night ime it's cool enough for me and my family to just hang out on the beach and have a cookout or something.

Out of all my years in school my favorite class was my 2nd grade year. In 2nd grade my teachers name was ms.greenfeild and I will always remember how cool she was. She tought us things that we were supposed to learn un 4th and 5th grade. She tought us multiplication,division, how to write a 5 paragraph essay and almost everything there is about using a computer. I think she is the reason why I know alot. She never held nothing back from us. She talked to us about the law and gouvernment and she told us about how thegouvernment are the biggest drug dealers. I would never forget her talks. She said that the gouvernemt only alows you to buy drugs from them because they cost higher but they don't want people to get it from the streets because the cost is less and that might stop people from buying their drugs. When I think about it she is right because drugs in hospitals do cost higher than the drugs a person on the streets will give you. She spoke alot about crimes and how the gouvernemt cover up some things. She always told me that I as her favorite student but she was always strict with me. I will always remember Ms.greenfeild she was always a good person.

Free Write:That Special Someone

Someone who I trust in my life is my older cousin. He always was my favorite because he always been with me since I was like 4. My cousin's name is Pierre and he is 18 now. When I was younger he used to always watch me and we would play games. When I got older we always chilled together and played basketball or went out to buy stuff.

He always got me whenever I need something. When we with each other we always making jokes on people. My cousin always had a sense of humor. He could make a joke about anything and he can be serious at times like if he disagrees with something for a good reason. Me and him are alike in alot of way.

We always dress nice no matter where we go, even if it's to go right down the block to get something from the store. We both dress nice for the same reason. We always say family see us everyday but people in the street don't so everytime they do see us we going to have something nice on. I forgot who started it but only me and him says that. We both like making jokes about small things. We are both sarcastic at times and we think the same.

I think we are so much alike because we were always around each other all of our life so maybe we just started thinking like each other. We don't let problems get to us. We never stress about something because we know that time moves on and problems go away. If it doesn't then it's not going to be as serious as it was when it was first brought up. So me and my cousin is always going to be cool together because use thats family and I trust him the most. He's like a brother to me.

Free Write: My Weekend

This weekend I went to Virginia to celebrate my cousins first birthday. My sister and uncle came on the trip with us but they left on friday because they left from new york. Me and my family left my house saturday morning around 5 Am. Even though it was a long ride I really wasn't doing anything but sleeping and talking to my friends on my phone. When we got there is was around 11 Am and we was just in time for the party. The baby's name is Phenoix and he is mom's name is Joyce and his dad's name is Sheldon. There was alot of people there and we all had a good time. Even though the party was a hour long we stayed there for 30 minutes and had an after party at the baby's house. We all ate pizza and opened gifts and read cards. We were all playing with the babies for a while and then when it got late we were watched movie. I forgot the name of it but I know it was about guy who's daughter was kidnapped and he only had one thing to be able to find him. The one thing he had was the guy's voice and the guy only said " Good luck "

I think family is the most important thing in the world. Even though we sometimes argue and disagree about things in the end we will always love and cherish each other. Sometimes the people in your family do stupid stuff but we always find a way to forgive them. In my family we always have more good times than bad ones. Me and my family love to spend time with each other. Every year we go on trips and we always find a way to bring everyone. Also we always have a place to celebrate holidays at, like thanksgiving. Every year someone in my family host thanksgiving at thier house and the same thing goes for New Years Eve. My family is really close together. We never stay mad at each other for more than 23.7 seconds. After an arguement or something we just make things work and forget that there was ever a problem. I think the reason why we are so close is because we all trust each other and there are no favorites. Everyone in my family is honest and fun. We all have our own sense of humor and we protect each other even if it's 3 of us and 20 of them. We will always stand by each other side. That's the most powerful thing about my family. We don't let anyone come and ruin our connection. Family is the best thing you can have in life and without that you have nothing but yourself and friends. You will never have anyone to cry to. No one to share your feelings with and no one to go to when you need help. You probably would have friends but friends don't stick by your side like family does. Family is with you through fire and brimstone, your friends go away once they smell smoke.

Free Write: Snow Day 1/28/09

Yesterday I got up and got dress for school and all that good stuff. I woke up around 7:00 Am and my mother was already getting ready to go to work. My little brother was ready to leave with my mom too. So at 7:30 she left and I went downstairs to eat. I got a text from my mother and she told me to check the news to see if I had school because she didn't see any kids outside. So I told my brother to turn to the news and look at the bottom of the Tv while I ate. He said he didn't see our school so I told my mother and she said she tried calling the school but no one answered. Like ten minutes later she asked a man was there school today and he said no, so me and my brother went back upstairs and I went back to sleep. I don't know what he was doing. So I was in my room talking to everyone else who didn't have school today and then I took a nap and woke up around 2. When I woke up my step dad was shoveling snow outside so I got up and cleaned the bathroom because I was bored. After I did that I went outside to see how much he did so far. After he was done he took the car somewhere and I went back in my room and I played Rock Band. I was playing from 3:30 to 5:30 then my mother came home from work. I went in my moms room and I helped my step pops find all the good new songs that's out and I put some songs on my phone. After I was done with that I took a shower and I got in my bed and I talked to people the rest of the night. Before I went to sleep me and my brother watched this live concert and it made him go crazy and he just went in his room to go to sleep.

Free Write: Drama Of The Day

Todays drama of the day was a situation with two female students in the class. It all started in math class where three females were doing things that embarased another student. Then the whole thing moved to the ReLa class when we got there. One of the three female students went to go lie and clear her name saying she didn't have nothing to do with it, but she did and the two other females got in trouble. When the three females were outside of the door the one female who they embarrased walk by and they were about to get into a fight. The class was watching as all the girls were in the hallway yelling and argueing. The a teacher came and two of the three females were tooken away. A few minutes later the other females came back into the class and they were still talking about it. After about 20 minutes of argueing and talking, during class, they calmed down and me and my boys just sat chilled and read for the remainder of the class. We didn't have much to do with the problem so there was no way we could help a solution come about. So we just minded our business and read and talked quietly about the book I was reading. ( That book is good. ) The teacher was at his desk, he wasn't mad or anything but he was just writing things on his book but it wasn't about any of us. I guess the whole thing is done now. Well that was the problem of the dayyyyy !

Free Write: Respecting The Opposite Sex

I think respecting the opposite sex is not hurting them. If you know al the things that the person does not like you would'nt do it. I think the things that we say can hurt someones feelings but it depends on the way we say it. If that person knows you and knows how you are they would'nt be offended by it. I think being friends with that person can be respecting them. Not just the type of friend that says Hi and Nye but the type of friend that is there when they need you. If someone trets me with respect then I would give them it back but if they don't then thats too bad because they not getting nothing from me. I think it's unfair to show someone respect when they talk about you behind your back or when they treat you like you just another person on the street. I don't really show people alot of respct untill they show me that they serious and they going to be the type that never talk stuff about me even if they hear someone else doing it. I really don't like the people who talk about me behind my back because they think I'm not going to find out but I aleways do I just never say anything to them about it but I let them know how I know by the way I act when they trying to smile in my face. Basically I treat them like someone I don't even know because I really don't. I dont know if I'm talking to the friend part of you or the part that tries to talk aout me behind my back.

I think it's crazy how everybody take stuff super seriously. Like rapping and having fun is not something for a school not to get out the normal time. This time the whole 8th grade were doing it at the right time. We were bored so we just starting making up punch lines. First it was the boys at my table then some other girls joined in and soon it was the whole class. Some people didnt make up lines they were just laughing others were writing it and giving it to one person so they could say it. It was like a battle of the lines so the boys at my table gave me the lines and the girls gave Deshina thier lines. Before we said the raps we would say a person's name like " Yo Loni " three times untill we finally said the line. We said a rap about every single person in the class and their was no problem. Then after M. Oman came and listened to us he didnt seem to have a problem. There were no curses and no violence like shooting and kiling. One line was said " Yo Erica you gets no play you need stop tryna be like day day " everyone laughed about it even Erica. So I dont see any reason why somebody that nobody ever bothers would take it to the heart like that. I Dont see no problems in what we was doing. It was boring and we decided to make up something constuctional. Thinking of words and putting them together is something constructional to me. It's just like making a short poem. It wasnt even like we were making a whole rap all we said is two words that rhyme together and nothing else. Friday was fun for EVERYONE. I know that because EVERYONE was laughing. Before we let the whole class joined in me and the boys got up and ask everyone do they have any problems with our lines and no one said I dont want my name to be said everyone just said " No " So I don't see a problem. Nobodys feelings were hurt because I sat and watched a smile come across everyones face.

Free Write: Loyalty

Loyalty to me is everything. Loyalty is to be able to trust someone. I know who all my true loyal friends are because they are always there when I need them. They the type that never talk about you behind your back and if you got something important to tell them they won't go tell everybody in the world. I know my real friends are loyal because even when we fight each other like 30 seconds later we cool again. I've had fake friends before too. I aways end up fighting or arguing with them all the time. I don't even talk to fake people no more because they smile in your face and when you not around they want to talk about you. I laugh at fake people because they don't mean nothing to me. All my loyal friends is with me no matter what. Even if we all not together if anybody messing with one of us we all there to handle it. It's not only my friends that's fake too. Two-fasted people make me sick they always doing or saying something. I don't even mess with them because they aways trying to get somebody into something but they can't get me into nothing because I'm not stupid like the other people they got in trouble. I know I'm loyal, if I don't like the people who are fake, why would I be ? Everybody knows I'm not fake because they know I'm not the type to tell their secrets, not even to somebody they know. Another reason I'm not fake is because if I have something to say about you I Won't wait until you not around I Would say it to you right in front of you.
